Hammerslake Cottage is the place to stay if you want quintessential Devon – the house is 16th century, originally built as three farm cottages and offers a wonderful combination of ancient features and modern comfort.
Hammerslake Cottage appears in the Sawday's guide and website. Read what Alastair Sawday writes about Hammerslake Cottage here »

We are located on the edge of the Cleave, a beautiful wooded river valley on the eastern slopes of Dartmoor. From here there is direct access onto the more rugged parts of the moor. The garden has stunning views over the Wray Valley to the east and is sheltered by the Cleave from the west.
Enjoy a glass of wine on our balcony overlooking the Wray Valley...

We have 2 double rooms en suite, one with a balcony overlooking the view. There is a bunk-room
available for children. We provide delicious aga-cooked breakfasts and eggs from our own hens.
